Mounts securely into the two factory grooves cut into the upper rimfire barrel found on Savage O/U 24 C,D,F,&G models.

FAQ: Can I adjust the mounts to a custom fit?
YES: Here's a few suggestions.
Over the many years of production on this rimfire rifle / shotgun , there has been a few tolerance changes in the groove channels.
However, theres a simple solution to custom fit our adapters to your rifle.
The goal here is to allow the two screws to do the final clamping action on the mounts to secure the mount to the groove channels.
Step 1: Remove both screws on each adapter.
TOO TIGHT?
IF TOO snug / tight where they will not easily slide with just a slight bit tension. We will need to spread the gap on the underside of the mount. Place each mount on a hard surface and insert a flat head screw driver or small pry bar as shown here.
GENTLY tap with a small hammer to spread the gap the slightest amount necessary and test fit on the rifle... Repeat if needed.
Replace the screws and tighten to around 20 ~ 25 INCH POUNDS. (finger snug by inserting the long end of the wrench to avoid extra leverage).
TOO LOOSE?
IF TOO WIDE/ LARGE where they will slide on to the rail and not tighten down securely. We will need to tighten / decrease the gap distance on the underside of the mount. Place each mount on a hard surface as shown below. Use a small plastic hammer or use a small non-marring piece of wood and slightest amount necessary GENTLY tap downward to tighten the clamp (as shown with the white arrow below) .Test fit on the rifle... Repeat if needed. Replace the screws and tighten to around 15 or less INCH POUNDS. (finger snug by inserting the long end of the wrench to avoid extra leverage). Using a bench vise seems like a good idea - but its nearly impossible to squeeze together the mount a "pinch" without needing to spread it back out as described above or actually snapping the mount in 2 pieces.
STEP 3: If necessary, rest assured that you can return the adapters to us for a full 100% refund (less return shipping expense).

FAQ: Torque setting for the new Perfect Adapter® II screws?
We highly recommend using an INCH POUND torque wrench set at 20 ~ 25 inch pounds.
Check the mounts regularly to ensure that they are secure.
