It all started back in 1996 when the father and son team of Louis and Anthony Imperto produced the first Henry H001 Classic Lever Action .22 in Brooklyn, New York. Anthony secured the trademark to the Henry Name which there is no affiliation or lineage to the Benjamin Tyler Henry’s rifle of the 1860’s.

In 1999 Henry introduced its flagship model, the Golden Boy with its hardened “Brasslite” alloy frame chambered in .22 S/L/LR, .22 WMR, and .17 HMR.

In 2017 Henry manufactured serial number 1,000,000 model H001. This rifle sold at auction for $55,025 and broke the record for highest amount paid for any rimfire firearm. All proceeds from the GunBroker.com auction were donated to the Hunting Heritage Trust.

In 2022, Henry celebrated its 25th Anniversary as one of the top five long gun manufacturers and the leading lever action maker by selling more than 300,000 rifles and shotguns annually. Henry’s Guns For Great Causes program consists of 1,000 Golden Boy Silver Anniversary models selling at $1,000 each to raise one Million Dollars for organizations and causes they support. In 2023, Henry proudly announced it fully honored the pledge with over 30 different organizations receiving donations totaling $1,037,500 since June of 2022.

Henry Repeating Arms employs over 550 people across three manufacturing facilities totaling more than 350,000 square feet. The company headquarters is in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, and additional factories are in Bayonne, New Jersey, and Ladysmith, Wisconsin.
